Job Title : Village Director
Source : SOS Children’s Villages Tanzania
Requirements : University graduate in one or combination of the following disciplines: Management of Organizations, Human Resource Management and Social Sciences. Qualification in social work, child psychology and counseling shall be of great advantage. Working experiences should include: at least 3 - 4 years progressive work at key positions (in management) in a stretching / modern working environment preferably working with children and youth programmes.
Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
The candidate should possess the emotional stability to lead and guide the large community of children and staff, maintaining the required high standards.
A stable social and emotional family situation
Computer literacy
Job Description : Providing strong effective leadership to the affairs of the SOS Children's Village
Leading the SOS community comprising of children, youth,
SOS mothers and staff, supporting the children's educational emotional development and physical needs
Managing the planning and activity programmes, as well as the financial and administrative function of the SOS Children's Village
Representing the Village in the local community, creating local networks that support the SOS Children's Village programmes
Being a role model for the children, youth, mothers and staff
Supporting the affiliated SOS Children's Programmes projects e.g. Schools, Medical Centre and Family Strengthening Programme.
This candidate should have knowledge and skills on partner- ship building with various take holders such as Government officials, NGOs, FBOs as well as with the private sector
Should have an ability to support design and implementation of project proposals in order to enhance resource mobilization
A working knowledge on HR and performance management
